Beware of FasTrak Charity Auto Auctions in Phx, AZ Current mood: pissed off
I have bought several vehicles at FasTrak Charity Auctions on 19th Ave in Phoenix, AZ and I am warning people not to make the same mistake I did. They auction junk vehicles and wholesalers bid against the public! These are my two and last horrific experiences with these scam artists.
I just got a vehicle that had Ice Cold A/C and seem to run okay on auction day and I payed Blue Book Excellent Condition. I picked it up: major tranny problems, the passanger window doesn't work, no faceplate for cd player, it barely made it through my work day! When I went to the company about these issues they had their onsite mechanic (that should tell you something if they have a mechanic onsite) check it out. He of course said there is nothing wrong with it; and even if there was a major issue they only give credit to buy something else (NO REFUNDS) When I got it back, my a/c was mysteriously blowing hot air.
A few months before, they stated on the windows on the vehicle: "Clear Carfax" and "Passed Emissions" and just overall a perfect vehicle. Once again I payed Blue Book Excellent Condition, the wholesalers were in on this one (I didn't notice this scam until afterwards) When I checked the carfax on it: Odometer Rollback. I was able to sell the vehicle and get my money back.
I go to several other auctions and all the reliable legal ones: warn people, if they are caught bidding on their own vehicles to raise the price for the public, you will be kicked out and other harsh punishment will follow. When I confronted FasTrak of this scam they told me,"well it is a public auction." I am letting everyone know, THEY ARE GOING TO SCREW YOU!
